ICAV Representatives

ICAV began as an informal network in 1998 and continues as a registered entity operating internationally, thanks to the efforts of our team who volunteer their time and energies.

The ICAV Board and Representatives volunteer their time to connect and facilitate support to intercountry adoptees in a variety of ways.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

AMERICAN REPRESENTATIVES

This role acts as a central point and enables intercountry adoptees to connect into the ICAV worldwide network. Some of these Representatives are involved in Government liaison and policy discussions.

AUSTRALIAN STATE REPRESENTATIVES

This role acts as the central point of contact for new intercountry adoptees coming into the network based on residential location. The ICAV Rep helps to connect adoptees to others in their State, ensure they are aware of ICAV Social Events and other state based intercountry adoption events; liaise with the State Government Departments (seeking intercountry adoptees wishing to be involved in prospective parent eduction seminars) and state based NGO post adoption organisations. Where possible the ICAV Rep also attends Federal Government quarterly meetings to represent the needs and interest of each state.
