Lived Experience of Racism Webinar

You are invited

to ICAVs upcoming panel webinar event where we will be presenting Lived Experiences of Racism in Australia as intercountry / transracial adoptees.

The focus of our panel webinar is to help people understand:

  • what racism looks like and how it impacts us as intercountry and transracial adoptees
  • what we recommend as better ways to support us through these experiences
  • and finding ways to heal from the traumas of racism.

This webinar is being tailored towards professionals (social workers, mental health counsellors, psychologists, adoption and foster care policy and practice professionals, and academics in adoption and foster care) in transracial adoption (domestic and intercountry) where vulnerable children are placed in families of another race.

It will also be suitable for adoptive or foster families and for intercountry and transracial adoptees.

Date: Tuesday 17 May, 2022
Time: 2-3:30pm AEST
