On Monday 22 June 2015, a group of 13 intercountry adoptees from every state of Australia, representing 6 different countries of origin, met with the Department of Social Services (DSS) och den Attorney General’s Dept (AGD).
We covered a broad set of issues but all of which largely culminate in showing our need for better, more comprehensive, and accessible Pre & Post adoption supports in Australia and our sending countries (as distinct from the already provide Post Placement support/review by State/Territory Departments as per requirements of most Sending Countries).
