Sam Gibb

VIC Representative

Sam is a Filippino adoptee residing in Victoria (VIC), Australia. He brings not only his personal experiences as an intercountry adoptee from the Philippines but also his experience as a Director of Junior Chamber International (JCI) at both local and national levels. JCI is an international not-for-profit organisation that exists to empower young people to create positive change.

Sam’s first engagement with the intercountry adoptee community was in 2015 through VANISH. In 2016, he was invited to the ISS Australian run Children and Families Across Borders conference as a Young Observer. Sam is also on the organising committee for the KAIAN Mentorship Program, which aims to connect intercountry adoptees. Sam holds a Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering from Monash University and works with a multinational engineering company as a Product Specialist.
